Jamie & Megan, Engaged!

Jamie and Megan's engagement session was so much fun to shoot, they kept me laughing the entire time and were open to trying anything (including climbing on hay bails).  They are an amazing couple and I cannot help but smile when looking at these pictures of two people so much in love.

I will start with my favorite candid moment of the evening.  I just love how natural Megan is in this shot.

Megan wanted to take some pictures by her grandfather's old barn before it got torn down and of course I loved this idea.  Not only do old barns make great pictures, but I love it when a location means something to the people I am photographing.

I am so honored to have been able to take Jamie and Megan's engagement photos, and lucky to be able to work with Megan every day.  Thank you!

Mathias & Ellie, Married!

Another great opportunity came my way when I got to assist the wonderful Dani Stephenson in shooting a gorgeous wedding!  I loved everything about Mathias and Ellie's wedding including the amazing barn venue, The Enchanted Barn.  The wedding was so beautiful I am just going to jump right into the picutres.

Here is our first look as Mathias and Ellie share their "first look."  The anxious groom...

...and his beautiful bride...

...make a happy couple!

I love this very cute family moment with Mathias, Ellie and their precious little girl.

The ceremony took place within the barn and was absolutely gorgeous.

After the ceremony everyone gathered outside and downstairs for the coctail hour as the upstairs was being transformed for the reception.  Ellie had simple yet beautiful rustic details which truly complimented the barn atmosphere.  I loved it!

Ellie's flowers were stunning!

What a beautiful Mother/Daughter memory.

Thank you Mathias and Ellie for letting me share in your special day and thank you to Dani for bringing me along, it was truly a gorgeous day!

Brian & Katie, Married!

Earlier this month I got the opportunity to assist the always inspiring Dani Stephenson as she shot Brian and Katie's wedding at The Castle of Spring Green.  Everyone that knows me knows that there is very little that gets me more excited than a beautiful wedding, so you can imagine how excited I was to finally be able to merge my passion for weddings and my enthusiasm for photography into one gorgeous day.  The wedding could not have been more amazing and I learned so much by watching Dani in action.

If I were to plan my wedding over again, I would follow Katie's lead with this very laid back and detailed wedding.  Brian and Katie had a very quaint wedding with only their immediate families and an intimate reception with their closest family members and friends.  It was very relaxed and stress free.  There were DIY touches around every corner, from the guestbook, to the bar, to the centerpieces.  I loved it all!

Without further ado, here is a peak of this beautiful wedding (starting with her shoes...which I loved).

Instead of a cake, Katie decided on cupcakes on these gorgeous cake plates.  They truly looked like something right out of a magazine.

Mismatched antique plates and a picture of Katie's father truly added character and intimacy to the head table.

And now...my favorite shot of the entire day!

Thank you so much to Brian and Katie for letting me spend their special day with them and to Dani for such a great opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding.

Lauren & Ryder - Senior Portraits

After a long winter of photographing my family and trying to better myself and my photography, I finally got to get outside and enjoy a beautiful evening with the gorgeous Lauren and her wonderful horse, Ryder, as we shot her senior pictures.  I had such a great time with Lauren and even learned a thing or two about horses, although I do not think I will be going for a ride any time soon.

Thank you Lauren for such a great opportunity!

Thank you so much Lauren and Ryder for letting me spend the evening with you and get some really awesome pictures.  I wish you the best of luck after graduation.  Enjoy!
